Technology Experts Debate About the Future of Cryptocurrencies

In the Spanish city of León, a Congress on Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies known as non central conf has been discussing the future of blockchain technology and virtual currencies. The conference took place this weekend and important figures from all over the world were present.

León’s Major, Antonio Silván, and the member of the councilor for Employment, Economic Promotion and Education, Javier García Pietro, inaugurated the Blockchain Congress non central conf this weekend.

The event took place at the same time that the ‘Fiestas de San Juan’ (San Juan’s Party) inspiring the organizers to re-name the event as ‘San JuanToshi,’ in a way to remember Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. The ‘night of San JuanToshi’ has been in the Studio 54 with special surprise for all the concurrents.

Among the participants there have been figures form Switzerland, Ucraine, Germany, France, England, Netherlands, Argentina and Mexico. All these countries have important communities related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Innorthvation’s responsible in León, Álex Casas, decided to inaugurate the Congress with Silván and García Pietro. Casas explained that all the people interested in the conference can acquire the tickets in cryptocurrencies. But for all those that cannot do it, it is possible to pay with fiat currencies.

The Non central Conf in León is the second edition of a number of conferences that started in Santander back in January. At that time, the I Northern Spain Blockchain Conference was held.

Innorthvation has been created from a group of participants from the social network Meetup, that gathers people with the same shared interests. In this way, is possible to organize activities in different parts of the country.

The ‘meetups’ held in Santander, Bilbao, Asturias, Valladolid and León, have decided to organize these events with the intention to connect interested individuals that are located outside the most important areas of innovation in Spain.

In this way, it will be possible to create collaboration zones between professionals that live in these regions.

Spain has been very active in the cryptocurrency market and blockchain technology. The last government tried to promote the development of companies related to distributed ledger technology, and had in mind the possibility to reduce taxes in order to foster development.
