Nasdaq will be launching a cryptocurrency exchange platform known as DX.Exchange during the next month (June2018). This is just another fact that shows that the cryptocurrency environment is getting more mature. The main purpose of the platform is to offer an ecosystem for OTC derivatives and cryptocurrency tokens.
Nasdaq’s Cryptocurrency Exchange
The dx.exchange will be different to the others in the market. The main difference is that it will be regulated, it will be powered by Nasdaq, and it will have the latest technology behind, said Daniel Skowronski, DX Exchange CEO.
One of the most interesting points is that the exchange will use Nasdaq’s infrastructure, such as the matching engine, that it is used by over 70 exchanges all over the world.
There will no be trading fees, but instead, the exchange will be taking a subscription fee of 10 euros. That’s a great policy that might attract several new users that are searching for zero-trading fee platforms.
“DX is today’s complete crypto community that allows institutions and individuals to purchase cryptocurrencies with fiat, trade cryptocurrencies and convert crypto back to fiat. DX’s combination of Nasdaq trading engines along with their own robust in-house technology, makes the DX platform today’s leading crypto marketplace.”
The regulations guarantee that Nasdaq meets the highest standards of quality, avoiding errors, bugs, and situations such as double count trading or fake volumes.
Nasdaq Expands its Business
The exchange has acquired an Estonian license, and a market maker license from Cyprus. Operating in this framework, clients will have a variety of crypto trading options in a compliant environment. But… US customers will be excluded from the platform, at least in the short and middle term.
Daniel Skowronski, explained:
“Cryptocurrencies have disrupted the Fintech revolution, and DX.Exchange stands with the basic principles of blockchain technology, trust and consistency. Crypto enthusiasts shouldn’t have to pay more than a minimal membership charge to trade with their peers, and they shouldn’t have to trade in an unregulated unsecure environment. The combination of NASDAQ technology and the DX.Exchange interface is one that will create a one-of-a-kind, fair trading experience, that puts the traders first.”
DX.Exchange will be the world’s first open and transparent marketplace for retail clients, institutions and other players in the cryptocurrency world.
