Swarm Fund ICO
Swarm is a fully decentralized capital marketplace platform built on blockchain technology that is entirely owned by the community. Our vision is to allow anyone, anywhere in the world, to participate in the value creation within the crypto asset category and to capture opportunity in new types of asset-backed tokens, anything from distressed real estate to solar installations to rainforest preservation projects and much more. Swarm turns financial opportunities from exclusive into inclusive. They provide the empowerment, access, and tradability so anyone can take part and have their crypto funds work for them.
Swarm Fund | ICO Status: Finished | 27.10.2017 |
Concept: Firstly, Swarm makes it extremely simple for hands-off, or novice crypto investors to participate in a composite of wealth creation resulting from utilizing the crypto space. Secondly, it creates a viable framework and hub for crypto investors to invest into alternative, asset-backed token opportunities, in order to escape market volatility. Lastly, the Swarm platform introduces a new alternative liquidity hub for project owners with attractive underlying economics to find capital and engage with the investor community. All this is achieved by using collective intelligence through the implementation of liquid democracy and a new process language called Statebox. Whitepaper: Get more information ![]() |

Venture ![]() | Raised Capital:![]() Venture Round: Round 1 ![]() N/A Price: $1 per SWM ![]() | ICO token Distribution: In our token launch, we are projecting to raise $50M USD denominated in ETH. For capital allocation, the main principle is that the lesser of 25% of funds raised or $20M will go towards operational expenses and platform development. The remaining funds will be deployed towards the initial pilot fund opportunities. That way, a higher fund raise does not increase budgets for the operations of the foundation, but benefits the implementation and impact of the overall Swarm model. |
Mining ![]() | Supply: 43 million for the token sale. | Usage: The Swarm model has two layers. The first layer is a utility token (SWM) which allows access to the underlying subtokens and grants access to the Swarm's governance technology. The second layer includes the many financial opportunities run by the Swarm syndication partners and made possible through their own applications and tokens on the SUN (Swarm Utility Network). |
Competitors ![]() | LA Token; Blackmoon Swarm Fund model is different in that each project resembles a traditional company in its ownership structure. Ownership is gradually sold off over time to the crowd and it becomes autonomous in stages as the technology and model are proven. This allows rapid decision making and iteration during the early stages of the project when this is necessary and some degree of pivoting and technological upgrades that may be necessary during the implementation. Swarm Fund model is deliberately modular in the sense that funds are pooled around projects and that each project has its own set of incentives and can succeed or fail without affecting the overall network. This means that each individual can decide on the value of various offerings on their own without an extensive or complicated consensus process. Swarm Fund model also has an 'innovation tax' which is taken from each project and goes back to fund public goods that can benefit the overall network, rather than somehow attempting to take this out of the actual fund itself. We also believe raising less capital but having a coherent governance structure and high quality business opportunities will allow significant appreciation in the base asset. |
