It seems that the Argentinian Central Bank (BCRA) is very enthusiastic on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and wants to learn about them. According to an open call to book suppliers in Argentina, the BCRA may be interested in learning about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Argentinian Central Bank Learning About Cryptocurrencies

The announcement has been made on June the 13th and requests books of important figures in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. There are 42 different books asked by the BCRA, but some of them are key for understanding how Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology work.

The first book in the list is ‘Mastering Bitcoin: Programming the Open Blockchain 2nd Edition,’ which has been written by the famous expert in the crypto space, Andreas Antonopoulos.

The fourth book in the list is ‘Blockchain Basics A Non-Technical Introduction un 25 steps,’ written by Daniel Drescher. At the same time, there are other books related to the future of financial innovation, new technologies, fin-tech start-ups and more.

Another important book is ‘Blockchain: Blueprint for a new economy,’ which has been written by Alexander Preukschat.

Furthermore, the books that have been requested show that there is an interest from the institution in learning about the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

The interest is related to the objectives that have been presented at the end of the last year by the BCRA.

The bank explained:

“The Fin-Tech phenomenon presents the challenge of defining an appropriate scenario that combines safety, competence and efficiency with the innovation that is promoted. In this way, it will be possible to keep moving towards an integral treatment of different payment proposals as the Innovation Table coordinated by the BCRA.”

Argentina has also been in the news earlier this year when a bank known as Banco Masventas decided to use the Bitex platform to process Bitcoin payments between different countries.

Manuel Beaudroit, Bitex co-founder, said:

“We have several clients, an important number of banks that are interested in these technologies. Working with this entity [Banco Masventas] was an exciting experience that would make negotiations with other clients much easier.”

Currently, Bitcoin is expanding all over the world. Each Bitcoin can be bought for $7400 dollars.
